Treaty between Canada and Italy enters into force

The Canada - Italy Income Tax Treaty (2002) entered into force on 25 November 2011. The treaty generally applies from 1 January 2011. From this date, the new treaty generally replaces the Canada - Italy Income Tax Treaty (1977), as amended by the 1989 protocol.
