Treaty between New Zealand and Australia enters into force

The income tax treaty between New Zealand and Australia, signed on 26 June 2009, entered into force on 19 March 2010.

The effective dates are as follows:

In New Zealand:

-		for withholding taxes, from 1 May 2010; and
-		for other taxes, the treaty generally from 1 April 2010.
