The UAE Ministry of Finance has announced the implementation of amendments to the Tax Procedures Law on 1 January 2026, including a 5-year time limit to claim refunds, as well as authorization for the tax authority to conduct tax audits or issue tax assessments after the expiry of the limitation period in certain cases.
