UK HMRC Confirms Increase in Electricity Generator Levy Rate

UK HMRC has published a policy paper confirming the implementation of an increase in the Electricity Generator Levy (EGL). As previously reported, the EGL is being extended beyond its scheduled conclusion in 2028, and the EGL rate is being increased from 45% to 55% from 1 July 2026.
