UK ratifies tax treaty with France

On 11 February 2009, the United Kingdom ratified the income and capital tax treaty and protocol between the United Kingdom-France, signed on 19 June 2008, by way of the Double Taxation Relief and International Tax Enforcement (Taxes on Income and Capital) (France) Order 2009. Once in force and effective, the new treaty will replace the UK-France income tax treaty of 22 May 1968, as amended by the 1971, 1973, 1986 and 1987 protocols.
