Uganda Reduces Recently Introduced Tax on Mobile Payment and Maintains Tax on Social Media

Despite public protest, the Ugandan government has reportedly announced it will keep the new taxes introduced by the Excise Duty (Amendment) Act 2018, which includes taxes on mobile money transactions and social media access effective 1 July 2018.
