Uzbekistan Approves Measures to Support the Building Material Industry

Uzbekistan has published Resolution No. PP-5239 of 31 August 2021, which approves measures to support the building material industry. This includes the following measures:

• A reduction in the income tax rate from 20% to 15% for cement producers effective from 1 October 2021; and
• A reduction in the subsurface use tax rate to UZS 22,500 per ton of limestone used for the manufacturing of cement from 1 January 2022.
