Uzbekistan Draft Amendments to the Customs and Tax Codes

The Uzbekistan Ministry of Finance recently issued a release on a draft law amending the Customs and Tax Codes. With respect to the Tax Code, three main amendments are noted:

• A reduction in the rate of personal income tax from 20% to 12% on income of nonresidents from sources in Uzbekistan (except for dividends, interest, and transport service income);
